This free online Hindi typing tool uses Google Input Tools transliteration API to convert phonetically typed English into Hindi (Devanagari) script. Simply type the way the word sounds in English — for example, type "namaste" to get the Hindi equivalent.

This is called phonetic or transliteration typing — different from translation. The tool converts the sound of English letters into the corresponding Hindi characters. It is the same technology used in Google Docs and Gmail Hindi typing.
